My name is Demetrius Pinder, founder of Getnoticedfirst.com. The idea for Get Noticed First came during my senior year of college (2003-2004). I was looking for paid internships to begin my IT career and I wanted to stand out amongst the other job applicants.

I had my personal website, a portfolio that displayed my resumes, coding examples, degrees, etc. and I came up with the idea of creating a portfolio CD. During my interview, the employer mentioned that he was very impressed with my portfolio, personal website and portfolio CD; thus, offering me the internship the very next day.

That internship lead to my employer hiring me full time after graduating in May 2004. After a year of full time employment, in 2005, my employer promoted me to become the IT Manager at a newly created company.

The first impression was the lasting impression.

After my previous employer hired me for the internship, I realized the impact of how I presented myself. I had to come up with an idea for my senior project and decided to create Get Noticed First.com.
